From London Gatwick – Excel Airlines flies to Mallorca www.excelairways.com

From London Stansted or East Midlands – Ryanair to Mallorca  www.ryanair.com

From Edinburgh and Glasgow to Mallorca - Flyglobespan www.flyglobespan.com

Flights to Mallorca from Leeds/Bradford - Jet2 http://www.jet2.com

Mallorca flights From London/Stansted to Mallorca - Air Berlin www.airberlin.com

In addition to these services, British Midland - BMI (flies to Mallorca daily from Heathrow) www.flybmi.com

GB Airwaysflies to Mallorca: www.gbairways.com  (recently bought by EasyJet,  so expect some changes)

Air Europa has many Mallorca flights all year around:  http://www.air-europa.com out of Gatwick.

British Airways www.britishairways.com  often advertises flights from London to Palma and return beginning at £19 one way.

If past experience is anything to go by, I wish you luck in getting those prices, but as with the cheap tickets to Mallorca touted by Air Berlin, you just might get lucky on a midnight flight landing at 2 a.m. on Christmas Day.

Actually, as of this writing, your best bet is www.ryanair.com.

Tip: You might search on the Web for charter flights, though these days you risk a rigid schedule,  the total loss of all your money if you can't make the flight (most of the other no frills carriers will allow you to chop and change, though for a fee, of course) and you don't save that much on the charters anymore. But it's an option.

Tip: To check the status of a flight, arriving or departing (you need to have the flight number), plus some other practical information regarding things like airport parking, go to the Spanish airport company website. I've put a link to their English language page. Just click HERE.

From Mainland Spain …

Lots of our North American guests can’t get to Mallorca on direct flights and have to change – or spend a few days – in portal cities like Barcelona or Madrid.

For those connecting flights I recommend checking www.edreams.es or www.rumbo.es since they will often feature flights considerably less expensive than those available via the transatlantic carriers.  It’s worth checking www.spanair.com or even www.iberia.com

Tip: if you find a flight marked “Low cost carrier” it makes sense to check the websites of the most frequently used carriers, www.easyjet.com or www.ryanair.com If you then book through the low cost carrier directly, you’ll save commission on the flight.

From the Continent and other places …

You’ll probably know better than I do what your local options are. From Germany, flights to Mallorca are usually via Air Berlin or Air Europa, but there are a couple of comparison sites – www.kayak.com or www.edreams.com that can point you in the right direction.

Tip: Mallorca isn’t much more than two hours flying time from almost any European capital, so unless you have money to burn it’s just as well to take a no-frills flight, and there are more of them flying more often and from more airports than there are major-name airlines.
